How to create a vegan world
With Tobias Leenaert, vegan strategist and author; co-founder of ProVeg International
Organised with Djurens Rätt (Animal Rights Sweden), the publishing company Trinambai and the public education association NBV. Djurens Rätt is the main organiser of the event.
Tobias Leenaert runs the blog The Vegan Strategist and has extensive experience in working for a vegan world. This event is part of a Swedish book tour where Tobias Leenaert promotes the newly released Swedish translation of his book How to create a vegan world: a pragmatic approach: Så skapar vi en vegansk värld: ett pragmatiskt förhållningssätt.
Leenaert focuses on why a pragmatic approach is important to get many people to start taking steps towards a vegan ideology and lifestyle. To get more people to change their behavior, we must make it easy for them.
During the talk, as in the book, Tobias Leenaert provides strategic perspectives based on research as well as concrete, practical advice. Among other things, we gain insights into the psychological mechanisms that make people continue to eat meat and drink milk, despite knowing the suffering it causes.
We gain insights into which ways of working towards a vegan world are most effective and into how the vegan movement can organise to become more influential. Leenaert highlights examples of success for the movement to remind us that there are many reasons to be optimistic.
The event is organised with Djurens Rätt (Animal Rights Sweden) and the publishing company Trinambai, who are organising the Swedish book tour, and the public education association NBV.
